This is a great experience! Cruising and eating truly bring lots of fun to numerous people globally; it’s an expensive form of enjoyment not everyone can afford.

digoga-I’m glad you liked your experience with Cruise One from Greenville, SC. Gee-we couldn’t call them late at night-we didn’t know how to get in touch with anyone. And as far as being friendly-you must have been in the right place at the right time. Friendly they were not! No, all of the events were not planned out–there were problems.
I realize planning for 600 is not an easy task. When it is your job-you have to go the extra step to make sure everything is in order. The Greenville office was not up to handling 600 people. I’m sure there are other offices that are equiped to make the arrangements and see that their customers are taken care of.
My group was not the only one complaining.
The Deen family was great. The Alaska cruise was great. The Cruise One staff from Greenville, SC was the problem.

This was my first cruise and I loved it and was so excited to see Paula. This trip exceeded my expecation and I would definitly go on another Cookin At Sea.
I completely disagree with the last posting in regards to CruiseOne, they were always friendly and willing to help and answered all of my questions even when I called late at night. I thought all of the details and events were planned out and went off without a hitch. It can’t be easy trying to make 600 people happy.
Alaska is definitly somewhere you should visit and experenice. And anythime you have to opportunity to cruise with Paula and her family you should just do it

This was my first “Cookin at Sea” cruise. We had such a great time. I also came back from this trip feeling like one of the family. Paula is a hoot! Everyone in her family was very friendly. My daughter and her friend especially enjoyed the time spent with Bobby. I have some really great pictures to remember the trip.
I must say I was not pleased with the Cruise One group from Greenville, SC at all. That is another story–I have voiced my complaints with Cruise One headquarters in Florida. My group of 4 were not the only people to have complaints with the employees from Cruise One.
I do want to go on another trip with the Deen family. Only not with the Greenville, SC office in charge–and I live in SC.
While on the ship I was told the New England trip will not happen..but who knows–maybe it will come to be.
If you have the chance to go on a cruise with Paula, you should go–it’s worth it.

This is the third “cookin at sea” cruise, we loved it. It is true, if you what to spend personal time with Paula go to the Blackjack table about Midnight. I played with Paula, Michael, Bubba and Doc every night for hours, it was a blast, they are funny people and just as normal as others, just with a little more money. And yes she got about 200K to do the cruise, so what. Think of it this way Paula get’s 150K a day in apperance fees, you had 7 days with her. I do think that Cruise One cares more about the bottom line. Next year I heard they are going to New England, and yes my Wife and I will be there again.

Nancy….. I was also on the “Cookin” at Sea” cruise and had the opposite reaction to Paula and her family. I came back from the trip really feeling like one of the family. True, Paula was not out and about as much as I thought she would, but that’s because she was enjoying herself in the Cruiseship Casino. And, whenever I wanted to say hi…she was very open to saying hello back…smiling…welcoming. I spent plenty of time with Bobby, Micheal, Bubba even her brother Hank. I can’t wait for next year!

i hear Paula Dean is very aloof and not at all accessable on her cruises…….what a disappointment……very different than her t.v. personality, that is for sure.
