  • Sarah East, host of the web shows Grocery School and FN Crazy takes us through a run down of new cookbooks by Food Network stars like only Sarah can:

  • In the October issue of Draft Magazine, the staff prepares us for what is easily the best of Mother Nature’s four seasons, Football. Christopher Staten pens an article ranking the top five rivalries in the NFL with in-depth analysis of each. Staten also introduces us to three tailgate gurus (or is it guri?) and their signature recipes (all of which include beer). So what is the secret to New Orleans Saints fan Paul Preau’s Jambalaya? One gallon of Dixie Blackened Voodoo Lager.

  • October also means the Bon Appetit Awards are announced and this year is no exception as the editors and staff at BA give us their picks for the top culinarians of the past year. A few notables include Bobby Flay receiving top honors for cooking teacher and Micheal Pollan as the fav food writer for his works The Omnivore’s Dilemma and the follow up, In Defense of Food.
