Black Friday Got Ya Blue?

Next Friday is the day that retailers live for, Black Friday.  The notorious moniker is somewhat misleading as it isn’t truly a day of tragedy (save the isolated tale of grandmothers duking it out over an Xbox at the local Walmart) but rather the busiest shopping day of the year.  Images of Betty Rubble and Wilma Flintstone chanting, “Duh, duh, duh, dut, duh, duuh, chaaarrrge it!” before heading to the local malls enter my mind every time I think of America’s fixation with spending money on this day.  Already my sister is giddy at the thought of rifling through the ads in the Turkey Day newspaper.

Well, this coming Black Friday I would like to personally invite you to escape the crush at the mall for a while by lunching a short distance a way at Mars Hill Cafe.  We’re located at 5025 Cottage Hill Road next to B&B Pet Stop.  Our staff is ready to help you unwind with a sampling of our healthy new American cuisine like the Santa Fe wrap or our incredible sweet potato hash browns.  Remember, Fridays are turkey queso days.  Fast becoming the most popular soup in the Mobile area, my turkey queso soup is the talk of West Mobile.  And you know you can’t resist the key lime pie.

Lunch at Mars Hill Cafe is the ultimate holiday experience as every meal you buy helps feed the needy.  At the MHC our goal is to donate every last penny of profit to worthwhile charrities like the Salvation Army and the Bay Area Food Bank.  Think of it as the ultimate two-for-one sale.

Love wins,
Chef Stuart Reb Donald
